Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (Nov. 17, 2020) – Jack Dover’s winning percentage during a wild 2020 season was a whopping 31 percent.

Dover captured nine of his 29 starts, giving him at least nine triumphs for the 12th time in the last 13 years.

“For being in a crazy year like it was, to come out with nine wins and 21 top fives is pretty respectable,” he said. “Another big point is that our sponsors stayed on board so we’re really grateful for their continued support. I want to thank them for sticking with me and staying committed.”

Dover was a contender in nearly ever race he entered this year, garnering 16 podium finishes and 21 top fives. In fact, Dover finished outside of the top 10 during only five races this year – four of which were DNFs.

Dover finished third in both the Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints and Midwest Power Series championship standings and he was sixth in the Midwest Sprint Touring Series standings despite skipping races in each of the three series.

One of the strongest tracks for Dover was his return to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., where he won twice and finished on the podium during all four starts this year.

“Every time we went to Huset’s we were strong,” he said. “We won two out of the four races and ran second and third in the other races. That’s probably what stands out the most. We hadn’t ran there in a long time. To run there against the competition they had and get the results we did was a highlight of the year.”

Dover capped the season by earning two top fives during the 47th annual Devil’s Bowl Winter Nationals with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour. He has at least one top 10 with ASCS in each of the last 15 years.

“We were strong every night we went out against anyone we were racing,” he said. “I wish it wouldn’t have been a short season because I think we could have been close to getting my goal of 20 wins.”
