Inside Line Promotions – OSBORN, Mo. (June 19, 2019) – Jack Dover recorded a top-five finish for the fourth straight week thanks to a runner-up result last Friday at U.S. 36 Raceway.

It marked his fourth podium of the season and second in the last three races.

“We always want to win races, but our ultimate goal is to finish on the podium every night,” he said. “The other thing is we learned what the car did and didn’t like trying some different setups. We’re turning some not great nights into something good. We’re always learning.”

The ASCS Warrior Region show began with Dover advancing from eighth to fourth place in a heat race and from third to second place in the dash. He capped the night by finishing where he started – second – in the A Main while driving for Rick and Chris Bowers.

“We drew bad and were able to get to fourth in the heat,” Dover said. “Then we moved up one position in the dash and rode in the same spot in the feature. I had three opportunities to change the setup through the night. We tried all different types of stuff and couldn’t get the car to enter the corner like we wanted to. I was having to tip toe into the corner and ease through it. It was wanting to dig in entering the corner. Once it dug in it upset the whole car. If you can’t enter the corner good it will make the whole corner bad.”

Dover will return to action this Friday at Jackson Motorplex in Jackson, Minn., where he was victorious on June 7. It is a Midwest Power Series and Midwest Sprint Touring Series event that pays $3,000 to win. Dover is the current MSTS points leader and he ranks fifth in the Midwest Power Series standings despite missing races.

“I’m excited every time I go there because we’ve had a lot of good runs at Jackson,” he said. “You’re racing a bunch of good guys and it shows where your program is and how far you need to go to make your program better.”

Dover will then venture to Off Road Raceway in Norfolk, Neb., on Saturday for an MSTS show. It will mark his season debut at the oval.

“We’ve ran really good and I think we’ve won three of five career starts there so I’m always excited to get to Off Road Raceway,” he said.

Dover earned a victory and second-place result in two starts at Off Road Raceway last year. He was also victorious there in 2017 and 2016.
