Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (April 2, 2019) – The 2019 season will get underway this weekend at a familiar track for Jack Dover.

I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., which is only a short 15-minute drive from Dover’s shop, hosts a Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints doubleheader on Friday and Saturday.

“We’re pretty excited,” he said. “It’s the first race of the year and you don’t know what could go wrong with the car. That’s the only thing that’s scary about the first race. Other than that we have everything the same as last year with new parts on the cars so we should be in a good position.”

Dover has been dominant at the high-banked oval throughout his career. In fact, he has 11 wins, 21 podium finishes, 26 top fives and 30 top 10s in 37 races during 360ci winged sprint car competition at I-80 Speedway since the start of the 2013 season. He also has been victorious during 305ci winged sprint car action there.

“Finding the right combination has been the key,” he said. “We’ve figured out a bar package and good shock package that works there. We’ve learned a lot about tires and stagger, too.”

While the primary goal is to reach Victory Lane this weekend, Dover said he will be happy with consistent podium finishes.

“I always want to win, but podium finishes both nights would be great,” he said.

Dover has won three of the last four Carpet Land Nebraska 360 Sprints championships. He has 25 career feature victories with the series.
