Inside Line Promotions – NEW RICHMOND, Wis. (Sept. 9, 2025) – Jack Dover officially passed 14 cars during the opening-night feature of the 25th annual Jerry Richert Memorial last Friday at Cedar Lake Speedway.
That earned the Hard Charger Award for gaining the most positions during the 30-lap Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint Series event.
“We got rolling in the feature and made a lot of progress,” he said. “It was a great way to end the night after a bit of a struggle early.”
Dover timed in 10th quickest in his group before a seventh-place finish in a heat race relegated him to a B Main. The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver advanced from fifth to fourth place in the B Main to garner the final transfer position into the main event.
Dover then charged from 24th to 10th in the feature, marking his 20th top-10 outing of the season.
“About halfway through the feature was when we really took off,” he said. “We were sliding guys and able to maneuver well. That was a fun race.”
With a wet forecast on Saturday, Dover and the team headed home to prepare for a Cressman Sanitation Midwest Sprint Touring Series 410 Sprint Cars show this Friday at Clay County Fair Speedway in Spencer, Iowa. Dover enters the event leading the MSTS 410 Sprint Cars championship standings by 44 points with only three Series races remaining this season.
“I’m looking forward to going back to Clay County Fair Speedway for the first time in about two years,” he said. “Hopefully we can put ourselves in position early in the night to be a contender in the main event.”
