Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (June 9, 2025) – Jack Dover has made it a habit recently to march from the back half of the pack to a top-10 result at Huset’s Speedway.

The Tim Estenson Motorsports driver rallied on Sunday from 16th to a ninth-place result, which marked his fourth top 10 of the season in five races at the high-banked oval. The seven positions gained were the second-most cars passed in the 25-lap feature.

“It’s the same thing the last couple of weeks,” he said. “We can’t seem to hit on something at the beginning of the night, which is very frustrating. Yet we’ve been good late. We’ve proven we have speed and can pass cars because we’ve done that every weekend.”

Dover qualified fifth quickest in his group, missing the heat race inversion by 0.021 of a second. That is the difference of starting a heat race on the pole position rather from the third row.

“It’s literally a twitch of the steering wheel,” he said. “It’s very, very, very little. If I can get the car better setup-wise we can be three tenths better. It’s a work in progress. I’ve been on the phone trying to figure out how to do better.”

Last week, Dover was only one thousandth of a second out of the heat race inversion. The previous week the difference was 0.047 of a second.

“I’d say anybody who runs 410s would say you’d rather be better at the beginning of the night than the end because qualifying is everything,” he said. “Once we can qualify well we will be on to it. We’ve proven we can be strong at the end of the night, but just need that little more at the beginning of the night.”

Dover’s run from 16th to ninth on Sunday came on the heels of earning Hard Charger Awards for rallying from 21st to eighth on May 25 and from 24th to 10th on June 1. His 34 positions gained the last three weeks is the most of any driver at the track.

Dover ranks fourth in the championship standings – 50 points out of the lead.

This week is a busy one with five races in a six-day period. Dover will compete on Tuesday at Eagle Raceway in Eagle, Neb., with Kubota High Limit Racing before tackling POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series races on Thursday at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa; on Friday at Callaway Raceway in Fulton, Mo.; and on Saturday at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo. The weekend concludes on Sunday at Huset’s Speedway.

“Every track we’re going to I’ve won at in 360s,” he said. “Obviously 410s are different, but at least racing well there in 360s allows us to know the tracks and characteristics. The main thing is getting to race five times in a week. That’s how we will get better.”
