Inside Line Promotions – SPRINGFIELD, Neb. (May 13, 2024) – Jack Dover plans to be behind the wheel of his No. 53 sprint car for approximately 15 to 20 races this year.

The first start is this Saturday at Off Road Speedway in Norfolk, Neb., during the 360 Sprints Special with the Gunderson Racing Inc. Midwest Sprint Touring Series.

“My first goal for this year is to make all the shows and not have any DNFs,” said Dover, who returned as crew chief for Tim Estenson this year. “I’d like to get four or five wins, but the main thing is to go out there and be consistent.

“I’m really confident for Saturday’s race. I’m going there to win. Normally I have a goal of a top five or making the show, but my goal this weekend is to win it.”

Dover won the first-ever sprint car show at the track in June 2016. He’s captured five total victories at Off Road Speedway and has finished in the top 10 in all 10 of his career starts at the dirt oval.

“It’s one of those tracks I’m always excited to go to,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s the fact of being excited that gets me going or that it’s been a track that suits my driving, but I always look forward to racing there.”

Dover has been victorious at the track in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and during his most recent visit in August 2022. Only one of his races didn’t result in a top five, when he placed 10th in 2021.
