Inside Line Promotions – BRANDON, S.D. (July 26, 2022) – Jack Dover posted a pair of top-10 results last week while piloting two different race cars.

It began on Wednesday at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., where Dover drove his No. 53 sprint car to a heat race win to kick off the event.

“We got the jump and into clean air, which is huge there,” he said. “We rode around the top. That put us in the feature redraw and we pulled the No. 2. We got out in clean air once again in the feature. About Lap 13 we either had a shock go bad or a bleeder go bad. The car just started going away and wasn’t very good up top or the bottom. We faded back a few positions.

“There was a late caution and we stuck the bottom good to get back up to third, but the car was really inconsistent and wasn’t handling like I wanted it to and we got passed again. We survived to end up sixth.”

Dover ventured to Huset’s Speedway on Sunday. He guided the Rick and Chris Bowers’ No. 81 sprint car to the seventh quickest qualifying time before placing second in a heat race and seventh in the feature.

“We can’t seem to get a handle on the car,” he said. “I tightened it up from previous weeks because I felt like maybe that was our issue. It seemed like we still weren’t tight enough. I’m struggling with the car rotating nice around the top come feature-time. It enters the corners nice, but from the middle off it’s too free. We just need to find that comfort level and we still haven’t hit on it.”

It marked his seventh top 10 of the season at the track and 12th overall.

Dover ranks fifth in the championship standings – only 13 points behind fourth place and 30 points out of the lead – entering the next event at Huset’s Speedway this Sunday.
