Inside Line Promotions – GREENWOOD, Neb. (July 14, 2022) – Jack Dover is planning to compete more regularly in his No. 53 sprint car throughout the second half of the 2022 racing season.

Unfortunately, mechanical woes derailed the team last Friday at I-80 Speedway, where Dover placed fourth in a heat race before ending the night with a DNF in the main event.

“I went into the first corner and lost power steering,” he said. “It was one of the worst nights in racing I’ve had in a long time.

“With some of the tire issues and it being tough to get parts we haven’t been able to race our car as often as we’d like the last couple of months, but we have a busy summer and fall planned in the No. 53.”

Dover has one race on this weekend’s slate with a return to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, S.D., on Sunday in the Chris and Rick Bowers’ owned No. 81.

“In our last race at Huset’s we made the final show for the big money during the Huset’s High Bank Nationals with the World of Outlaws,” Dover said. “Prior to that in our most recent weekly show we set quick time and we were having a good run in the heat race when we broke the axle. We repaired everything and made a good run up through the field in the feature so I’m definitely looking forward to getting back to Huset’s this weekend.”

Dover enters the event ranked sixth in the Huset’s Speedway championship standings. He is only six points behind a tie for fourth place.
